University of Iowa | Delta Epsilon Chapter

Sisterhood is the culmination of countless friendships. Sisterhood is knowing that you have not one, but dozens of women supporting you through your college experience. Alpha Phi's see each other through thick and thin, through college and beyond, and always know that they can count on each other. Each month throughout the year, we hold a sisterhood event for all members of our chapter. In the past, we have gone to Wilson's Apple Orchard, held movie nights at the dollhouse with lots of popcorn and pizza, hosted a Stella and Dot jewelry party, and went to Univeristy of Iowa sporting events together. Our sisterhood chair, Lauren Geurink, is constantly thinking of fun and meaningful sisterhood events that involve our whole chapter.

Big Sis/Lil Sis Program

Every new member receives a "Big" in her first year-- a sister who welcomes her into a close-knit type of family within the chapter. Once the new member begins her second year at Iowa, she receives a "Little" of her own and their Alpha Phi family grows even more. Big sisters act as a role model, friend, and support system for each of our members.
